About

WE DEVELOP AND REALIZE IMMERSIVE SPATIAL EXPERIENCES FOR CULTURE AND BRANDS.

We bring together design and narrative to create engaging spaces that inspire reflection, dialogue, and change.

Martin

is an exhibition designer with over 15 years of international experience in projects ranging from intimate installations to large-scale exhibitions.

As Creative Director of Martin And Friends (MAF.studio), he assembles and directs multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful and inspiring narrative experiences.

Before founding MAF.studio in 2018, Martin worked as Creative Director for the renowned exhibition design agency KDJ, leading projects across Europe, Asia, the United States, and the Middle East.

Trained as a product designer, he began his career working with leading studios such as Marcel Wanders (Amsterdam), Marc Newson (Paris), and Studio Domo (Taiwan). This background instilled in him a deep understanding of materiality, craftsmanship, and human scale—qualities that continue to shape his approach to spatial storytelling today.

Cindy

is an interpretive designer and artist with over 12 years of experience shaping stories into meaningful spatial experiences.

At MAF.studio, she translates curatorial ideas into layered narratives that engage both heart and mind.

With a background in education and a vibrant artistic practice, Cindy brings a deep understanding of how content, form, and participation meet. She co-created the concept for Museumhuizen for Hendrick de Keyser Monuments, shaped the narrative framework for the Amsterdam Light Festival 2022, and has been involved in all projects featured on this website.

Her interdisciplinary background continues to shape her approach to storytelling. Creating spaces that connect people through meaning and imagination.
